Movies I've Seen List: Up In The Air

Quick commercial break. This post is really just meant for me. I just want to remember all the movies I've watched at the end of the year. Coz as you all know, I don't have the sharpest memory. Quite like Dory of Finding Nemo really.

Photobucket

Watched this last Saturday with a friend. Was supposed to watch Alice but it was full. Ended up watching this movie instead. No regrets though.

Witty script, good story, great cast.
I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Just 4 because you can watch it on DVD.
No special effects that you're gonna miss or anything like that.
George Clooney got nominated best actor for this movie in numerous award shows.
That should tell you something.

Fashion Alphabet Series

Just realized how vague my last post was so I'm going to try to make things a little clearer in this post.

(1)
The Fashion Alphabet Series has been an idea I've had for a while. I forgot how I came up with this concept but basically the idea is to take each letter of the alphabet then relate it to fashion to come up with a theme/concept for my fashion shoots. So for example, I started with the letter A and thought of Androgynous as a theme. I've made a list for all the other letters but I lack a few I think. A good thing about this is that I won't run out of concepts for at least 25 more shoots. Hehe :)

(2)
So yeah, like I said, I had a photoshoot last Saturday. Androgynous theme. And I can't wait to share the photos with you guys! I think it's my best photo shoot to date. Not that I've had much.

(3)
I just want to thank Yeoh for helping me out with getting models and everything. Owe you big time! And for the future shoots he's hooking me up with. If all will be confirmed I have another shoot next week. Wish me luck!

(4)
Now this is what my blog was really made for. I didn't mean to bombard you with stuff about my life life. Hopefully this becomes a more regular thing (the photo shoot stuff I mean). Happy happy joy joy!

Photo Shoot TOMORROW!

I can finally start with my Fashion Alphabet Series!!! (I'll elaborate on that in another entry) Starting with the letter A for Androgynous. That's the concept for tomorrow's shoot. WOHOO!!! :D
Here's a little teaser (of the lighting). Not final though. Subject to change tomorrow if it's not flattering.

And because I misplaced my remote trigger somewhere and was too lazy to do timer, I used my tripod to stand in.

Improv Studio

Guys, I present to you my studio

 Photobucket

Why Improv Studio you ask? Well, cause that's how it all started out before. It was all improvisation. Sort of. Mostly. Remember THIS?. And now I finally have a studio. Sort of. HAHAHA :D My backdrop finally has a stand! (Refer to THIS POST) YEY! :D

This is a late announcement actually. I had the "studio" since last month (If my memory serves me right). And I've used it for some shoots I cannot blog about. Sort of. Anyways, point is, I wanted to post it when I had something relevant to post. Which I will blog about in the next entry. I have a photo shoot tomorrow! My last was I don't even remember when anymore. I'm excited. Wish me luck! :D

There are times when were just not ready to face the world.
Times when we just want to be a silhouette.

Did I Mention?

Did I mention that WAWI NAVARROZA is one of my professors this term?
She's teaching our FOTOCOM (Basic Photography) class.

Photobucket
I'll start posting some of the photos I shot for the exercises soon.

And for our final project we have to do a PHOTO SERIES, MINIMUM OF TEN (10) OPTIMIZED IMAGES.

Here's her notes in our Multiply group:
PROFESSOR’S NOTES:

GRADING:
Each exercise is graded on this criteria:
40% TECHNIQUE, 40% CREATIVE TREATMENT (subject/story, composition, innovation), 20% EFFORT

Technically inferior submissions result in a failing grade. RESHOOTS will be assigned again and again until the student comes up with competent work. Grading will be based on the accumulated submissions in the exercise folders.

The student bears the responsibility to accomplish all the succeeding assignments plus the corrections of previous ones. To prevent this, the assignments submitted should be technically sound and illustrates the goals of the exercise.

My class emphasizes the capacity to think for yourselves, the ability to absorb the lessons and apply the skills required, to ask intelligent questions, to indulge in the process with enthusiasm, and to progress as new proficient photographers who have a story to tell.

Enjoy shooting...

So far she's been... I'll reserve my judgment until the end of the term.
So help me God.
