Last term, we had an alternative class outside school. We were required to go to a photo exhibit. Wawi Navarroza's PERHAPS IT WAS POSSIBLY BECAUSE.

During the course of the question & answer part with Ms. Navarroza, a few thoughts struck in my brain. (can't exactly remember how these thoughts came to mind... it had something to do with Wawi and some guy in the audience... anyways.)
Does age really matter when it comes to talent/skill/intellect/and etc.?
Must we really be competing with the younger ones already? Or are they now competing with us?
Does it mean if a young boy can do something just as good as an older guy, the talent of the older guy isn't of much value anymore?
Are we more impressed by the younger boy just because he is able to do it at an earlier age?
In a time when young kids are getting more and more talented, and the world more and more competitive, do we not only have to worry about developing our skills/talent/intellect but also have to start worrying about when we'll be really good at it?
This isn't the first time I have thought about this, just the first time I wrote about it.
What do you think?
