On Love and Relationships

I just watched Ghosts of Girlfriends Past yesterday with two of my bestest friends. It was an OK movie. Typical chick flick. One line struck out to me though, it was when Matthew McConaughey's character, Connor Mead, gave his bestman's speech. The line goes like this:

"Someone once told me that the power in all
relationships lies with whoever cares less, and he was
right. But power isn’t happiness, and I think that
maybe happiness comes from caring more about
people rather than less…"

Just as I was about to search something on Google, I was pleasantly surprised to see that they changed their logo just for us Filipinos today. Thanks, Google! :)
That put a smile on my face.

Poem #1

Laundry

My red laundry bag sits
at the corner of my room, waiting
to be filled with dirty clothes.

As sweat-stenched shirts
get thrown in
one after the other
and used boxers are kept away,

it's filled to the brim,
ready to explode-
telling me it's time
to call the laundry shop.

**This is my very 1st "real" poem. I did this for Lit Class last year. I was really into poetry that term. Awww.... I miss Lit Class. And I miss Sir Baytan. Big thanks to Nina and Camps for helping me out with poetry and all. Could not have done this without you guys :)

Meeting the Model

After a few months of planning/talking with my friend, JR, (about our creative pursuit) things are finally happening. On the 3rd of June, we finally got to sit down and talk with the model-to-be for our photo shoots (yey).

Her name is Isa Suarez. She's a very good friend of JR, and she was my classmate and groupmate in one of my subjects before. So we got to talking about our plans and all over snacks. I'm super excited to start! Wish us luck! :D
