Cold Summer / Hot Winter

From Lars Andersson's Fall 2010 Collection

These pictures look like they were taken on a Cold Summer / Hot Winter, no?
Can't wait for the summer break but I'm just loving these knits! Wish it weren't so hot here in the PI.
:)

Movies I've Seen List: Legion

Ended up watching this movie over the weekend because we were late for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. -_-  Went in the theater not knowing what the movie was about. All I knew was that it kinda looked cool and I apparently confused it with 2 other movies. So yeah.

The Angels rock
but this movie sucks!

*Sorry if my posts lately have been mostly movie ones. This is the last for now. Will get on to blogging my usuals soon.

Movies I've Seen List: Avatar

Totally forgot to make a post for this. Watched this over the Christmas break.

James Cameron. Need I say more?
If you haven't watched it, go and watch it NOW! Like NOW!
Preferably in 3D. Enjoy!
:D

New Year's Resolutions

I know it's quite late for this already but there's still Chinese New Year to look forward to right? I will super duper officially start my new year then :) hehe  And I have a perfectly good excuse reason. My year didn't exactly start out right. It started quite slow (but fun). And I was in Cebu a.k.a. away-from-reality-land. I didn't exactly get to jump start my new year immediately. The unusually long Christmas break really put me off. I'm sure you've all noticed. Right now, all I'm trying to do is organize my life so that it will be smooth sailing from there. I'm behind on a lot of stuff right now. My posts are so delayed, homework is piling up, .... the list goes on and on. I feel stressed. WAAAAAAH :O I will get through this. I will. I must!

So here's my list:

1. Get at least eight hours of sleep every night.
2. Drink at least eight glasses of water every day.
3. Get more fruits and veggies into my diet.
4. Try not to skip breakfast.
5. Exercise at least 4 times a week.
6. Read at least one book a month. (I have a drawer full of unread books :-| )
7. Try To be more on time with everything.

Pretty simple. Realistic. I can do this! :)

Movies I've Seen List: Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 (The Squeakquel)

Watched this last Saturday with my barkada in Cebu when I was there for the Sinulog Weekend.

The Good:
- The Chipmunks and the Chipettes versions of:
*You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)
* Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)
*Hot N Cold
*Put Your Records On
- They're so cute and adorable
- It's a fun/funny movie

The Bad:
- The story was really shallow. There was no depth to the story.
- The "climax" can't even be called a climax.
- Lame story.

Best to watch this when your brain is floating in the air somewhere or if you just want to watch a no brainer movie. Or when you feel like a kid or you want to feel like a kid again. Or if you feel "high".

Movies I've Seen List: Sherlock Holmes

Watched this with 2 of my cousins back in Cebu just the day before my flight back to Manila.
It was the last Saturday (Jan. 9) I had before school started.

Sherlock Holmes is a very cool character. I never knew his character would be that way. I never read the books so I had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. Fun movie. But personally, I think it's one of those movies you can live without watching. But it's cool, really. And if you really want to watch it, I would suggest you just watch it on DVD instead with subtitles because in some parts you can barely make out what they're saying. I don't know if it was the theater sound system, the accent, or if they were talking to fast that they were practically eating their words. But yeah, watching this on DVD will do.

Book Review: Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Friend (A) suggested this book to Friend (B). After reading the book, Friend (B) recommended this book to me. Eventually, Friend (A) also suggested this book to me. It looked like it would be a fun read and I was excited to get it. I was planning to buy the book after all the Christmas expenses last year. But it turns out I didn't even have to cause both Friend (A) and Friend (B) ended up getting the book for me for Christmas. Now I have 2 copies. I wasn't able to exchange the other one (which Friend B still had the receipt for) on time. So yeah... I want to get the other 2 books in the series! :)

Diary of a Wimpy Kid written by Jeff Kinney is a FUN LIGHT EASY READ. Definitely written for kids but it also caters to the young at heart. The story revolves around Greg Heffley, the protagonist and the author of the "diary". He shares with us through his near daily diary entries what his life is like in middle school. Tough for the most part I must say. The story portray's a very realistic picture of middle school life in America. It's so realistic it makes me think if the story was based on the author's experience. The only thing I will warn you about is that the ending feels under cooked. When you reach the end you'll be like "that's it? that's the end?". It will make you wish for more. So I suggest you don't read it too fast and most importantly, enjoy every page of it! :)
