WIMPY!

Photobucket

Book 5 is finally out! Weeeeee! :D Got hooked to the series over the summer.
And as much as I'd like to get my hands on this book right now I simply don't
have the budget. I gotta prioritize my expenses. Sigh. Oh well. Hopefully
someone will get me this for Christmas? :) A little wishful thinking wouldn't
hurt right? hehe :)

And oh! I can't wait to see the rest of the books made into movies. I really enjoyed the 1st one.
Hope you guys are having a great day!

Book Review: Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Friend (A) suggested this book to Friend (B). After reading the book, Friend (B) recommended this book to me. Eventually, Friend (A) also suggested this book to me. It looked like it would be a fun read and I was excited to get it. I was planning to buy the book after all the Christmas expenses last year. But it turns out I didn't even have to cause both Friend (A) and Friend (B) ended up getting the book for me for Christmas. Now I have 2 copies. I wasn't able to exchange the other one (which Friend B still had the receipt for) on time. So yeah... I want to get the other 2 books in the series! :)

Diary of a Wimpy Kid written by Jeff Kinney is a FUN LIGHT EASY READ. Definitely written for kids but it also caters to the young at heart. The story revolves around Greg Heffley, the protagonist and the author of the "diary". He shares with us through his near daily diary entries what his life is like in middle school. Tough for the most part I must say. The story portray's a very realistic picture of middle school life in America. It's so realistic it makes me think if the story was based on the author's experience. The only thing I will warn you about is that the ending feels under cooked. When you reach the end you'll be like "that's it? that's the end?". It will make you wish for more. So I suggest you don't read it too fast and most importantly, enjoy every page of it! :)

Christmas Wish List 2009

I was supposed to do this post yesterday to kick off the 1st day of December but got a little busy with some school work. This isn't the first time I'm making a Christmas wish list and it won't be the last. Not that making one is of any use. It's more of just for me so I can see all that I have to save up for in one list. It's more convenient that way. HAHA.

Looking at the Christmas Wish List I made last year, the first one I posted online, I realized how far fetched most of my wishes were. I'd have to be super duper lucky to get most, if any of them. The more realistic ones I still want though. That would be a plant for my condo and a pet Siamese fighting fish.

And because I haven't been able to window shop lately and make a list of more realistic gifts my friends could actually get me, for now, I will post my "A boy can dream" wishlist. Most of which are photo books of genius photographers.

P.S. The books with the special frame around them are the next priorities right after my must have book. Not that it matters or not that you care. hahaha :P
